Trinity 150th Series 2017

Trinity 150th Series 2017

Trinity Church Sesquicentennial Series of talks, musical presentations, and community exploration walks on alternate Sunday afternoons throughout 2017.

Conceived and led by David Goss.

The plan is to offer distinctive one and a half hour programs on a Bi Weekly basis beginning on January 15, and do this on alternate Sunday afternoons in the Bennett Room. If we are stormed out one week, we simply switch to the next. The indoor sessions will last until May 07, then on the 21st we will move outdoors for a series of Walks n’ Talks with guest leaders through to Thanksgiving weekend, and then we’ll move indoors again and finish out the year on December 31.

How can you help?

#1: You can join in become part of a team that will be the leaders for this event

#2: You could provide cookies for about 4 dozen people for one of the talks or you could underwrite the Faith Page Advertisement of one of the events at $75.00.

#3: You could underwrite the honorarium to the presenter (if one is necessary) for an event where we would need it. This series of programs will be offered on a Freewill Offering Basis, with the presenter receiving 50% of the gate after expenses.

#4: You can make every effort to support as many of the bi weekly events as you can, and to pass on information to others about the program so we can have a good audience from week to week.

The first program is next week and the presentation will be titled “Travel to the Sunny South.” I will delve into early travel from the 1880’s onwards, and Ellen Tucker will talk about the situation as it exists today.

I hope you will get on board in one way or another with this effort, and help us as we mark the Sesquicentennial in a meaningful way, and let the community know Trinity is alive and well in 2017.
