Our Worship, like the architecture, is designed to draw our understanding and our desires onward and upward into God. Our guide is The Book of Common Prayer, which someone once called, “The Bible ordered for prayer.”
Since 1549 it has helped to form many millions of Christians in a way of life deeply rooted in God. It allows the Christian scriptures to do what they exist to do, namely, to lift us into that unity of being, knowing and loving that is the life of God the Trinity. We go to the Father, through the Son, by the Holy Spirit. And so our worship is not only of the Trinity, but in the Trinity.
God bless us now and ever with the vision of his glory, beauty, and mercy in the face of Jesus Christ. And may we all come to share in all that He gives us to see and desire there.
