Feb 10 Heritage Sunday
Heritage Sunday-All parishioners are encouraged to being a Heritage item to display at the Coffee Hour on Sunday, Feb 10, 2019. We have done this in the past, and it has always brought out some neat items people have tucked away from yesteryear. There will be two surprise items that will be on display from Trinity’s past. One is a painting from 1910, and the other a sculpture that has come all the way from Belgium and honours our World War One Veterans. The first was found in the basement, and could have been easily thrown out had not a Walk n Talk visitor this summer recognized it as a valued piece of art by a well respected artist. The whole story will be told on Heritage Sunday. The second item came to us as a result of Byron Thomas chatting up a cruise ship visitor, who went back to his home in Europe, and visited the graves of some of those noted on our memorial plaque to World Warn 1, and had a sculpture done in their memory which became part of a massive display in Belgium,. Again, the whole story will be shared on February 10. So being along something you wish to share and it will make a fitting tribute to Heritage Week.
